| Field | Purchasing information |
|---|---|
| Standard / product type | DIN 931 or the stated edition of ISO 4014; hexagon-head bolt with an unthreaded shank and threaded end. Substitution is not assumed. |
| Thread and common size | State diameter, pitch, nominal length and threaded length. ISO 4014:2022 references coarse threads M1.6–M64; common enquiries often focus on M5–M36. Fine, left-hand and special threads require a complete specification or drawing. |
| Material | Carbon steel, alloy steel or stainless steel, selected for the required service environment and assembly. |
| Property class / stainless grade | Common RFQs include steel 4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9 or 12.9 and stainless A2-70, A4-70 or A4-80. |
| Surface finish | Plain/oiled, zinc plated, black, hot-dip galvanized, zinc flake or another specified coating system. |
| Custom supply | Non-standard length, threaded length, thread, marking, coating and drawing- or sample-based production are reviewed case by case. |
| Packing / documents | State bag, box, carton, pallet, labels and mixed-shipment needs. Certificates, test reports, coating records and traceability are supplied only when agreed. |
All final values follow the buyer-approved quotation and order specification. Product names alone do not define grade, tolerance, coating or document scope.
Supply options
Material, mechanical class and coating are specified separately so the offered product matches the assembly and environment.
Specify property class, service environment, heat treatment, head marking and any required certificates. Common enquiries include 4.8 through 12.9.
Specify the grade and mechanical class, such as A2-70, A4-70 or A4-80, plus any passivation, marking or traceability requirement.
Review coating thickness, corrosion target and mating-thread compatibility together, especially for hot-dip galvanized or project-specific systems.
Technical notes
Detailed standard and specification-control notes remain available without interrupting the main purchasing path.
DIN 931 remains a common purchasing designation. ISO 4014:2022 is a current review reference for steel and stainless-steel hexagon head bolts with metric coarse threads M1.6–M64 and product grades A and B. XHT does not assume automatic interchangeability; the approved edition or drawing controls manufacture and inspection.
Common RFQs include M5×0.8, M6×1.0, M8×1.25, M10×1.5, M12×1.75, M14×2.0, M16×2.0, M18×2.5, M20×2.5, M22×2.5, M24×3.0, M27×3.0, M30×3.5, M33×3.5 and M36×4.0. Confirm every line item; fine, left-hand and special threads require a complete specification.
The product name does not define property class, stainless grade, test scope or certificate level. State the mechanical requirement, inspection plan and document package in the RFQ.
Full copyrighted standard tables are not reproduced. Purchasing and acceptance follow the legally obtained governing standard, drawing revision and buyer-approved order specification.
