Bonded EPDM Sealing Washers

Bonded EPDM sealing washers combine a metal backing with a bonded EPDM sealing element for specified roofing, cladding and mounting fasteners. They differ from loose rubber pads and from hardened structural washers: the backing supports the fastener bearing area while the elastomer is selected for the sealing interface. XHT reviews the washer together with the screw or bolt, panel material, hole and installation arrangement. Outside diameter alone is insufficient; bore size, metal profile, backing thickness, seal geometry and compound also matter. The backing material must be compatible with the fastener and contact materials. Sealing performance depends on the actual assembly and correct installation. A washer description does not guarantee water tightness or a fixed service life; the specified product evidence and order requirements control acceptance.
