DIN 912 remains a widely used RFQ designation for cylindrical-head fasteners with an internal hexagon drive. A useful quotation also needs the exact edition or approved drawing, thread size, nominal length, threaded length, mechanical requirement, surface finish, quantity, packing and any inspection or document requirement.
ISO’s official catalogue states that ISO 4762:2004 specifies hexagon socket head cap screws with metric coarse pitch threads from M1.6 to M64 and product grade A. The publication was reviewed and confirmed in 2023. XHT does not assume that a buyer’s DIN 912 request can be changed to another standard without approval.
