Product overview
Flat washers that share a nominal thread size can differ in outside diameter, thickness, chamfer and hardness. Those differences can affect bearing pressure, fit and compatibility with coated or high-strength assemblies.
DIN Media lists DIN 125-1:1990-03 as withdrawn and replaced by ISO-based washer standards. ISO 7089:2000 is the current normal-series, product-grade-A review reference used here.
Verified technical note
Normal and chamfered washer series are separated to avoid a visually similar but incorrect substitute.
| Reference / field | Verified scope used on this page | RFQ implication |
|---|---|---|
| DIN 125-1:1990-03 | Withdrawn product-grade-A washer standard for hardness up to 250 HV, preferably for hexagon bolts and nuts | State the edition when a legacy drawing or approved list requires it. |
| ISO 7089:2000 | Current plain-washer standard, normal series, product grade A | Confirm that this is the accepted current basis and specify hardness/material. |
| ISO 7090 | Separate current direction for chamfered normal-series washers | State whether a chamfered form is required; do not infer it from ‘DIN 125’. |
Specification control: No copied dimensional table is used; the approved standard edition or drawing controls dimensions and tolerances. Full proprietary standard tables are not reproduced.
