Outdoor enclosures
Closed-body option reviewed with coating, hole and sealing requirement.
Closed-body blind fastening
Closed-end blind rivets coordinated by body geometry, diameter, grip range, head, hole size, body and mandrel materials, corrosion pairing, installation process and any buyer-defined sealing test.
Catalogue ranges are RFQ guidance. Final compliance and joint suitability are controlled by the buyer-approved specification, drawing, installation process and purchase order.
Quotation control
The exact product basis, joint stack-up, dimensions, materials, installation method, quantity and destination are confirmed before sourcing.
| Field | Product information | Order control |
|---|---|---|
| Requested product | Closed-end blind rivet for the stated joint and environmental requirement | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Standard / product basis | Buyer specification, approved product data or released drawing; sealing requirement stated separately | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Geometry | Closed-body form, diameter, grip, body length, head style, hole size and clearance | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / finish | Body and mandrel materials, coating and galvanic/corrosion compatibility | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Joint / installation | Joint stack, installation access, tool/nosepiece and any sealant or gasket scope | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection / records | Dimensional inspection and any agreed leakage, corrosion or installation evidence | Confirmed per RFQ |
Product overview
The closed blind-side body can limit a direct path through the rivet body after setting. Actual joint sealing depends on the rivet configuration, hole quality, sheet condition, head interface, installation and any additional sealing system.
XHT does not describe a closed-end rivet as leak-tight without a buyer-defined test method and acceptance criterion. State the fluid, pressure, direction, environment and required validation in the RFQ.
Common ordering fields
Common closed-end blind-rivet enquiry fields. The approved configuration and test requirement control any sealing-related quotation.
| Selection | Common enquiry options | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Product basis | Closed-end type, approved manufacturer data or drawing | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Diameter / grip | Nominal diameter, material stack and stated grip range | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Head / hole | Dome, large flange or countersunk head with hole limits | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material pair | Body and mandrel materials, coating and environment | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Sealing scope | Joint design, sealant or gasket, fluid and test direction when required | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection | Dimensions, installation samples, leakage test and records as ordered | Confirmed per RFQ |
Custom supply: Non-standard size, material, head, finish, marking, inspection and packing can be reviewed against a released drawing, approved sample or complete specification.
Technical control
Closed-end construction alone is not a universal leakage rating. Any air, water, oil or pressure claim must be tied to the buyer-approved joint design, test method, acceptance limit and production control.
Applications & supply
Application examples guide the RFQ. Suitability must be verified for the actual joint, service environment and installation process.
Closed-body option reviewed with coating, hole and sealing requirement.
One-side assembly with joint appearance and leakage criteria stated.
Sheet stack, head interface and air-leakage test defined by the buyer.
Material compatibility, access and validation coordinated per project.
Quality & order coordination
Inspection, certificates, traceability and packing are supplied only when agreed in the quotation and order.
Product basis, joint stack-up and critical fields are recorded.
Cluster suppliers are compared against the confirmed requirement.
Dimensions, materials, finish and test records follow the agreed plan.
Labels, lot separation and shipment details are coordinated.
