ASTM A193/A193M covers alloy-steel and stainless-steel bolting materials and components for pressure vessels, valves, flanges, fittings and other specified high-temperature or high-pressure applications. The buyer must identify the governing edition and service specification.
Surface appearance does not establish Grade B7 compliance. Chemical composition, heat treatment, mechanical properties, testing, marking and traceability must follow the purchased standard and written order.
