Rivet Nuts

铆螺母

Rivet nuts create an internal thread in sheet, hollow sections and other suitable assemblies where installation is accessible from one side. A matched setting tool deforms the nut’s body behind the receiving material to retain it. Selection depends on the complete sheet stack, hole shape, installation clearance and required thread strength. XHT reviews rivet-nut enquiries against the specified design or drawing. Available configurations, source, setting requirements and inspection scope are request-dependent and confirmed in the written quotation.

XHT coordinates partner-factory sourcing, specification review, agreed inspection, order consolidation and export arrangements. The quotation confirms the actual manufacturer, supply scope, MOQ, lead time and available documents.

Enquiry references are not a stock list. Configuration, source, availability and inspection scope are confirmed in the written quotation.

Product specification

Key details for your enquiry

Provide a complete specification for each item so geometry, materials, treatment and assembly requirements can be reviewed together.

FieldQuotation basis
Types / configuration
  • Submit open-end or closed-end, round or knurled body, and hexagonal-body designs for review. Head form may be flat or countersunk as defined by the selected product.
  • Specify internal thread, body and head dimensions, hole shape and grip range. Closed-end construction alone does not establish a watertight assembly; sealing materials, setting conditions and a leak test must be agreed when sealing is required.
Materials / property requirements
  • Steel, aluminium and stainless steel are established rivet-nut material families. Confirm the exact grade and condition, host-material compatibility and strength requirement for the selected design.
Finishes / treatment
  • Request the specified steel coating or agreed aluminium/stainless surface condition. Identify coating designation, restricted substances, galvanic compatibility and corrosion test method with acceptance criteria where relevant.
RFQ specification checks
  • Provide actual assembly thickness and its tolerance, the required grip range, receiving-hole shape and limits, panel material and accessible space behind the panel.
  • Identify the setting tool, mandrel thread, nosepiece and controlled setting force or stroke. Verify installation on representative assembly samples before production approval.
  • Agree thread gaging, installed-head seating and dimensional inspection, plus torque-to-turn, pull-out or thread-load testing where required. Define fixtures, assembly conditions, sampling and acceptance limits.
  • Send drawing revision, quantity, packing and destination with requested sample approval, batch identification and inspection documents. Mating-screw engagement and any sealing requirement belong in the RFQ.
