Turned components
Round inserts, bushings and spacers routed by material, tolerance and quantity.
Internally threaded & turned components
Custom nuts, threaded inserts, bushings and spacers sourced by released drawing, internal and external geometry, thread, knurl or press-fit feature, material, host-part interface, finish, inspection and assembly requirement.
A product page is an RFQ starting point, not a blanket capability or compliance claim. Final feasibility, process route, tolerances, testing, lead time and supply scope are stated only in the written quotation.
Quotation control
The released file, revision, units, tolerance scheme, material, process, quantity, inspection and destination are aligned before supplier routing.
| Field | Review basis | Order control |
|---|---|---|
| Part / file basis | Released drawing and part revision with mating or host-part information where relevant | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Geometry / tolerances | Internal/external diameters, thread, flange, wall, length, knurl, slot, chamfer and tolerances | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / condition | Material specification, condition or hardness plus corrosion and host-material compatibility | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Process / finish | Turning, forming, knurling, broaching, heat treatment, coating and installation route as specified | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection / approval | Thread gaging, concentricity/runout, dimensional report, installation sample and documents | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Packing / commercial | Quantity by part number, sample plan, packaging orientation, labels and destination | Confirmed per RFQ |
Drawing-based sourcing
For custom nuts and inserts, the internal thread is only one controlled feature. External geometry, flange, knurl, press-fit diameter, wall thickness, lead-in, hardness and the mating hole can determine installation behaviour.
For spacers and bushings, bore, outside diameter, length, squareness and concentricity may be more important than appearance. XHT quotes against the released drawing and stated assembly conditions.
Controlled RFQ fields
Common RFQ fields for custom nuts, inserts, bushings and spacers. The drawing and mating interface control the review.
| Selection | Buyer input | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Thread / bore | Thread system, size, pitch, class/fit, gaging or plain-bore tolerance | Confirmed per RFQ |
| External geometry | Hex/round form, flange, knurl, serration, slot, shoulder and chamfer | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Fit / interface | Host material, receiving-hole limits, press/clearance fit and installation direction | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / hardness | Alloy, condition, heat treatment, hardness and galvanic compatibility | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Finish / cleanliness | Coating, passivation, lubricant, residue and masking limits as specified | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection / samples | Thread gages, runout/concentricity, installation sample and records | Confirmed per RFQ |
Missing information: XHT may raise clarification points or propose a documented alternative for review. No changed material, dimension, tolerance, process or finish becomes the order basis without buyer approval.
Technical & file control
A press-fit or knurled insert cannot be reviewed only by its outside diameter. Host material, hole preparation, wall, installation method, retention requirement and acceptance test must be stated by the buyer.
Before sharing files: Send only technical files you are authorized to transmit. If an NDA, access restriction or special transfer method is required, agree the route with XHT before uploading the file.
Typical sourcing routes
Examples guide the RFQ only. Supplier selection and process feasibility remain subject to the released requirement and written quotation.
Round inserts, bushings and spacers routed by material, tolerance and quantity.
External shape, internal thread and property requirement reviewed together.
Host hole, installation tool and retention test defined in the RFQ.
Mating screws, washers or host samples coordinated when included in scope.
Order coordination
Sampling, inspection, traceability and packing are supplied only when agreed in the quotation and purchase order.
Part number, revision, units and critical notes are identified.
Potential sources and process routes are reviewed against the RFQ.
Approval sample and inspection scope follow the agreed order plan.
Revision, quantity, labels, lot separation and export packing are coordinated.
