Prototype review
Machined or mixed-process route assessed for low quantity and design confirmation.
Drawing-based threaded fasteners
Custom bolts and screws sourced against a released drawing or complete specification covering head and drive, under-head geometry, shoulder, thread, length, material, heat treatment, finish, inspection and packing.
A product page is an RFQ starting point, not a blanket capability or compliance claim. Final feasibility, process route, tolerances, testing, lead time and supply scope are stated only in the written quotation.
Quotation control
The released file, revision, units, tolerance scheme, material, process, quantity, inspection and destination are aligned before supplier routing.
| Field | Review basis | Order control |
|---|---|---|
| Part / file basis | Released bolt or screw drawing, part number, revision, units and order quantity | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Geometry / tolerances | Head/drive, under-head features, shoulder, point, thread, length, radii and stated tolerances | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / condition | Exact material specification, grade or condition plus required mechanical properties | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Process / finish | Required or prohibited forming, machining, thread production, heat treatment and surface finish | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection / approval | Critical characteristics, thread gages, dimensional report, sample/FAI and documents as ordered | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Packing / commercial | Prototype or production quantity, packaging, labels, Incoterm and destination | Confirmed per RFQ |
Drawing-based sourcing
A non-standard fastener cannot be quoted reliably from a photo or product name alone. Head and drive details, length datum, shoulder, thread start and runout, point, radii, tolerances and surface requirements must be read from the released order basis.
The practical route may combine forming, machining, thread rolling or cutting and secondary operations. XHT coordinates source review but does not select a substitute process, material or tolerance without buyer approval.
Controlled RFQ fields
Common enquiry fields for drawing-based bolts and screws. The released drawing and purchase order govern the final supply.
| Selection | Buyer input | Control |
|---|---|---|
| File control | Part number, drawing revision, units, scale and general tolerance | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Head / drive | Profile, recess or wrench feature, under-head radius and bearing surface | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Body / thread | Diameter, shoulder, thread standard/pitch/fit, runout and point | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / properties | Material specification, grade, heat treatment, hardness or mechanical requirement | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Finish / marking | Surface treatment, coating limits, permitted marking and hydrogen-risk controls when applicable | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Inspection / packing | Critical dimensions, gages, sample report, lot control and packaging | Confirmed per RFQ |
Missing information: XHT may raise clarification points or propose a documented alternative for review. No changed material, dimension, tolerance, process or finish becomes the order basis without buyer approval.
Technical & file control
A standard-looking head does not establish the drawing basis. Every changed shoulder, thread end, length datum, recess, radius, tolerance and material property remains controlled by the released file and approved clarification record.
Before sharing files: Send only technical files you are authorized to transmit. If an NDA, access restriction or special transfer method is required, agree the route with XHT before uploading the file.
Typical sourcing routes
Examples guide the RFQ only. Supplier selection and process feasibility remain subject to the released requirement and written quotation.
Machined or mixed-process route assessed for low quantity and design confirmation.
Forming and secondary operations reviewed when volume and geometry support them.
Original drawing, approved sample and mating information used to prevent mismatch.
Revision, inspection, labeling and export packing coordinated across part numbers.
Order coordination
Sampling, inspection, traceability and packing are supplied only when agreed in the quotation and purchase order.
Part number, revision, units and critical notes are identified.
Potential sources and process routes are reviewed against the RFQ.
Approval sample and inspection scope follow the agreed order plan.
Revision, quantity, labels, lot separation and export packing are coordinated.

Drawing RFQ
Send a buyer-authorized PDF drawing, BOM or clear specification through the RFQ form. If a native model or controlled file is required, request an agreed transfer route first.
