Machinery housings
Stud ends coordinated with tapped and nut-side connections.
Drawing-based machine studs
Double-end studs with threaded ends and a plain center body, manufactured and sourced against the buyer-approved standard or drawing, including both thread lengths, body diameter, overall length, fit, material and finish.
Catalogue ranges are RFQ guidance. Final compliance is controlled by the buyer-approved standard edition, drawing, specification and purchase order.
Quotation control
The exact standard or drawing, thread, length basis, material, finish, quantity and destination are confirmed before sourcing.
| Field | Product information | Order control |
|---|---|---|
| Requested product | Double-end stud with plain center body | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Standard / drawing | Buyer-identified standard and edition or released drawing | Governing basis confirmed |
| Geometry | Overall length, body length, thread length per end, body diameter and end detail | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / grade | Specified steel, stainless grade or other buyer-approved material | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Assembly scope | Stud only or stated nuts, washers and protective caps | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Records | Dimensional report, material certificate, marking and traceability as ordered | Confirmed per RFQ |
Product overview
Double-end studs may use equal or unequal thread lengths, different fits or even different thread systems at the two ends. The unthreaded body diameter, runout and length basis also affect assembly fit.
Commercial descriptions vary by market. XHT therefore quotes only after the governing standard edition or released drawing identifies every dimension and tolerance that must not change.
Common ordering range
Common double-end stud enquiry fields. Final geometry comes from the purchased standard or drawing, not from the product name.
| Selection | Common enquiry options | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Thread system | Metric or inch; diameter, pitch/TPI, fit and hand per end | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Length definition | Overall length, body length and both thread lengths stated | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Body / runout | Body diameter, relief, runout and chamfer specified | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Material / properties | Steel or stainless grade with mechanical requirements | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Finish | Plain, zinc, black, hot-dip galvanized or drawing-specified treatment | Confirmed per RFQ |
| Assembly / packing | Nuts, washers, caps, orientation, labels and bundle method | Confirmed per RFQ |
Custom supply: Non-standard thread, length, material, end treatment, marking, accessories and packing can be reviewed against a drawing, approved sample or complete specification.
Technical control
Legacy and current DIN, ISO, ANSI/ASME or customer references can define different stud proportions. Always include the exact standard number and edition or an approved drawing; a generic “double-end stud” description is not a complete manufacturing specification.
Applications & supply
Application examples guide the RFQ. Suitability must be verified for the actual connection, service environment and governing specification.
